A/N: The pacing is shit in the first act and first part of act two. T~T I plan to go back and expand with signs that they're growing to like each other from the other's point of view, and then signs that they're falling in love.
ACT ONE
1. Jiyong has an intense relationship with Kiko that ends suddenly. 2. During band and dance practice, Jiyong keeps spacing out as his mind goes back to Kiko and her reasons for dumping - something that is very unusual for him as he's normally very strict and attentive to ensure they give their best performance. He insists that he's okay and he'll be fine.
3. Jiyong loses his composure during a concert, cries on stage and laughs about it once he gets off stage.
While performing his solo song "Crooked", Ji gets emotional, starts crying, and falls onto the stage. Luckily, Seungri performs after him so he doesn't have to try to power through another song, but once he gets backstage, he begins to laugh at himself hysterically. It freaks everyone out but TOP and Taeyang who are more concerned than anything. This is the first real sign that something is wrong with Jiyong.
4. Sunni doesn't make plans, she makes options. Sunni owns several of everything because she can't ever pick just one. Expects a date to end before sunrise, gives out fake numbers.
5. "Ew, relationship stuff. Let's just have sex and eat pizza." After Aaron leaves, she's sad.
6. YGE contacts Sunni's magazine for an interview
7. Sunni goes to work. Sunni finds flowers on her desk and dumps them; she's allergic to pollen and dislikes real flowers because they die. Sunni is assigned to the interview.
8. Sunni dresses up - paints her nails different colors and picks out a Disney inspired outfit to wear. 1st attempt to interview GD. Jiyong tries to appeal to Sunni's concern, accidentally revealing his depression. Ji has a habit of pretending to be sick/hurt/sad/etc when he comes across a girl he likes - its like a tic. He doesn't know he's doing until someone points it out. So when he meets Sunni, he plays up the "I'm sad/depressed/lonely" angle to get her sympathy and concern - but it backfires because she's been depressed before and has been taught to recognize the signs when another bout of depression will hit her. Seeing those signs in him (which it seems he's faking at the time), she refuses because she believes it will do him more harm (being a celeb) than good.
9. Ji reflects on Sunni's insight and still wants the interview.
10. Sunni hangs out with her best friend Sierra, drinking, partying and flirting. Inwardly, she's relieved Aaron took the pressure off of her to end things by doing it himself.
11. Sunni goes to work and her boss confronts her about walking out on Jiyong. She tries to defend herself but the label is threatening to sue, so she has to do it.
12. Jiyong wants Sunni to meet him for lunch to try again. They meet and talk. He tells her she's beautiful and is impressed with her interest in Asian culture. They share a love for video games, but she confesses that she has trouble finishing most games. Jiyong sees that Sunni is still unconvinced and invites her to go on tour with him. She asks why he'd want her to do that and he explains that he wants to leave a better impression on her. She points out that he can't please everyone and turns down the invitation.
13. Sunni talks with her sister about the decision she made, wondering if it was too hasty. Aaliyah points out that Sunni has commitment issues, which Sunni denies. Aaliyah names a few examples, the most notorious being that Sunni has a history of running from serious relationships.
14. Her supervisor makes the decision for her, not allowing her to talk her way out of it - do it or be fired.
15. Sunni contacts Jiyong and agrees to go on tour with him, with conditions. He invites her to their concert that night.
ACT TWO, PT. ONE
1. Sunni is most afraid of failure/getting fired, wants to prove her worth. 2. Sunni owns several beauty products because she can't commit to one.
3. Sunni shows up at the venue and has trouble getting past security. Jiyong comes out to get her, putting his arm around her shoulder. He expresses his excitement that she actually came, acts goofily then suddenly gets serious.
4. Big Bang's Dallas concert. Tae and Dae tease Ji about chewing them out earlier for playing around during rehearsal earlier that day and walking out on them. Sunni has trouble deciding on a snack while watching the performances. After the show, Sunni praises the guys on their performance, but Ji has trouble accepting her praise. He explains that he got angry with the guys earlier because he worries that the show won't look good if they aren't serious. The group goes back to the hotel, where they shower and get ready for bed, much to Sunni's surprise. Jiyong tells her that, despite what other's may think, their lives aren't really that interesting. He asks her to come back in the morning to pick him and so he can ride with her to the airport.
5. Sunni picks up Ji from the hotel. Ji notes that Sunni looks different again. They are spotted by reporters and fans, and Sunni grabs Ji's wrist and they make a run for it. In the car, Sunni reflects on how hectic life must be for Ji and he admits he feels he'll be stuck as a celebrity forever and will never be happy.
6. Jiyong sits by himself, staring out a window. Sunni sits next to him, for company, and tells him about herself (oddest things that happened to her). Ji reveals that he often reads the comments about him online, saying that the worse of it all was the petitions for him to withdraw from the group, amputate a limb, and kill himself. Her heart breaks for him (as she herself has dealt with criticism) and she tells him to stop caring about his critics - showing him all the nice things fans say and think about him. "Do you remember who you were, before the world told you who you should be?"
7. Hotel check in
8. With a little free time before rehearsal, Sunni decides to go to the mall to buy the things she forgot to grab. Feeling bad (he did spring the whole trip on her), he tags along to pay for her expenses. Sunni realizes that she didn't eat breakfast that morning (overslept). Ji grabs her hand and leads her to the food court. She avoids anything with the fruits and veggies she hates (which is a lot). They order and sit down. They have a deep conversation about their current wants - Ji wishes he could have a public relationship that won't fall apart because of the pressure put on it. Though Sunni is mostly quiet, they talk about love and emotion in which Sunni admits that she sucks when it comes to talking about her feelings. Ji explains the difference between loving someone and being in love, and reaches out to touch Sunni's hair.
ACT TWO, PT. TWO
1. After the concert and meet/greet, Sunni goes back to her room. Ji, curious as to what a social butterfly would do on her own, visits and finds her getting ready for a movie - Beauty & the Beast. She invites him to join her. They have popcorn and watch the movie, discussing Sunni's opinion of love and relationships. Ji finds it surprisingly bleak and cynical for someone as upbeat and idealistic as she is. She starts to say something (explain why she is that way) but instead shrugs it off. Ji hugs her goodnight and attempts to kiss her on the cheek, but Sunni pulls away, unsure of his intentions. He goes to bed thinking about her (being with her chases away the hurt and loneliness) instead of Kiko for the first time since the breakup.
2. Ji wakes Sunni up with breakfast from McDonald's and hot chocolate, genuinely surprising her. Excited and energetic, he helps her get checked out and into the airport shuttle van. Though it seems so simple and friendly of him, it tugs at her heart - she never watched Beauty and the Beast with Aaron. She doesn't want to get attached to Ji, but she can't help but wonder what it'd be like to be something more. Sunni fears mixing pleasure (commitment) would interfere with finishing the interview article (her personal goals).
3. Sunni gets bored on the plane and pulls out her sketch pad, drawing Ji's attention. She shows him her pencil and pen bags, telling him she collects pens and scrunchies, much to his delight. He compliments her drawing but she points out that she has trouble finishing them, showing him all of her unfinished sketches. The only one she has finished is the one of her niece, Daria. Ji's face lights up when he sees it and asks about Daria, which Sunni has no trouble spending nearly an hour talking about. Ji gets sad suddenly and expresses his desire for family/children but believes he'll never get it because the women he's interested in can't handle the constant invasion of privacy and lunatic fans.
4. Shit happens. Maybe, I dunno.
5. Big Bang is invited to an after party for their concert hosted at a club by another celebrity who's a fan of K-Pop. Everyone is excited about it, except Sunni who expects to stay at the hotel. Ji invites her to go along and, with the group pressuring her to go as well, she agrees. They insist there's no dress code, so she dresses up in her usual Sunni style. She's picked up by their driver and when she arrives, she realizes that everyone else is in mostly black. She and Ji stand out with their colors. Ji worries that this will bother her, but she shrugs it off saying that she never could blend in with the crowd, so she never tried to. Ji realizes he should accept himself first.
6. TOP pulls out wine and challenges the group to a drinking game, Confidence (everyone has a shot glass, coin is flipped on whether or not they have to take it). Ji and Sunni get wasted. When it's time to go back to the hotel, Sunni expresses a desire for Taco Bell (she *LOVES* it) so the guys let Ji take one of the rental cars. She checks the entire menu before ordering, suggesting things for Ji to try, and the two binge on the way back to the hotel.
7. They take the elevator up to their floor, but it malfunctions and drops a few floors, leaving them in darkness. They both admit to being afraid of the dark and hold hands for comfort. It drops again and this time the pair cling to each other as they wait for help. Sunni says they should talk to distract themselves so Jiyong pulls her into his lap and confesses that he's afraid to be alone but knows his actions are driving people away. Sunni suggests seeing a doctor but he says people would look at him differently and criticize him for that, too. He admits to feeling doomed and has considered suicide several times. She reassures him that his life is precious. She reveals her past and the reason she avoids relationships that require commitment. He realizes that she (outside of fame) is just as lonely as he is and wipes her tears away. "Be lonely with me." His lips barely touch hers when the lights come on and the elevator moves.
8. They go to Sunni's room. Ji pulls Sunni down onto her bed, joking that they should just go to sleep, but she insists on a shower first. He lets her up. While she showers, he realizes that once the interview is over, Sunni will go home and most likely will never see or speak to him again. The thought crushes him and he resolves to show her he's worth staying with. (Offer whatever she wants.)
9. They put on a movie and start to watch it, but Ji takes Sunni's hair down and finger combs it. When she doesn't object, he touches her face, then claims the kiss that he lost earlier. LEMON
10. Sunni wakes up before Ji does, trapped under his arm. She inspects his tattoos and wonders if they are a form of self harm. He wakes up and she admits that she's afraid to get a tattoo because they're permanent. They discuss the night before and agree that it shouldn't count because they were drunk. They then try to keep things friendly.
11. Ji talks about his long term goals and his desire to have her be a part of them. She admits she never thinks so far ahead, much less pictured anyone else being a part of it. (But she does now.)
12. They watch another movie, this time choosing to drink instead which leads to more sex. LEMON
13. Sunni realizes she's been holding onto the past. They willingly hold hands for the first time.
14. Ji wakes up with no desire to write, perform, or even make an appearance. On a whim, he grabs Sunni and they disappear for 48 hours. Sunni mulls over the pros and cons, then decides to take a leap of faith.
15. Sunni and Ji have fun in Disneyland, acting every bit like a real couple.
16. Future wants - Sunni flirts with Ji who returns it openly, leading the two to become intimate and best friends - something Sunni's never had before. Things are perfect, until Ji talks about commitment. He wants to be exclusive and date, but it frightens Sunni, so he settles on being monogamous. He mentions her travelling with him but she shuts it down, not wanting their simple relationship to change.
17. Sunni tries to describe the relationship with Ji to Sierra, who's quick to point that it sounds like they're dating. Sunni dreads the relationship reaching a deeper level of commitment, which Sierra tries to get her to explain but she can't pinpoint her feelings of unease and dread.
ACT TWO, PT. THREE
1. Starts dating but denies they're a couple
2. Sunni's sock collection - Ji sees it and takes Sunni shopping for a pair to add to her collection
3. Ji does something romantic that no one else has done before. He takes her on a date on a private yacht. They tease each other with food, he traces her lips with a strawberry. LEMON Afterwards, he asks her how was it for her, and she explains that she doesn't always need to orgasm, much less before he does and he still takes it hard.
4. With some time to spare, the gang heads to the beach. Sunni puts together a Disney inspired outfit for Ji. He guides her around with his hand on her waist, letting the guys know it's serious, which makes them nervous. Ji tries to talk her into getting a tattoo but she fears that it's permanent and may outlive their lives
5. Shower together - LEMON
6. Sunni asks Ji on a date.
7. Sunni goes shopping for lingerie (to wear for Ji) and he shows up to "show her what he likes", ultimately buying it and a few others he likes.
8. They share a hotel room together, cook a meal, and have movie night as usual with dinner. Afterwards, they have a long hot bubble bath with wine. LEMON, LEMON, LEMONS EVERYWHERE
9. Ji asks Sunni to go with him to the VMAs. She's dolled up and he puts together an outfit for her to wear.
10. Ji calls her his girl at the VMAs, leading the world to assume they're a couple which makes Sunni feels pressured.
11. VMA after party, TOP corners Sunni and tells her to be serious. Sunni feels like the world is suddenly pressuring her to commitment to Jiyong. She's afraid of being tied down.
12. Ji does a radio broadcast after a night with Sunni and the others notices his neck is littered with hickeys. Though he laughs and and plays it off, he does allude that the one who did it was at the VMAs with him. Ji accidentally reveals their relationship.
13. Sunni looks for a way out of their relationship.
14. Her boss pulls her off of the article for crossing the line of professionalism.
15. Sunni subconsciously sabotages their relationship out of fear of commitment. She gives Ji the "let's be friends" speech. "You realize you're running from me, right?" She denies it and says she'll be fired, which Ji can understand. He tells her she can go - he'll be okay.
ACT THREE
1. Sunni without Ji
2. Sunni's suspended, forced to stay at home while things blow over. She tries to write for a book she's been working on (finding her own Disney happy ending) and finds it's much easier since she has her experiences with Ji to go on. She finishes it in a few days and cries - she can't show it to Ji. Her biggest regret is breaking up with Ji.
3. Ji without Sunni
4. Ji is unsure of his identity and feels empty. Without Sunni, he turns to drinking to keep him from feeling sad.
5.Ji gets so low that he rethinks and prepares to commit suicide.
6. Sunni's boss asks her to write the article on Jiyong. She considers everything that's happened and tries to write it, but can't. The words won't come out. It would hurt Ji, possibly even push him to hurt himself seriously because most of the things he told her were in confidence. She's pressured into writing, with threats of being fired if she doesn't. Tired of the constant threats and unable to hurt the one person she's ever truly loved, she refuses and quits her job, walking out of the office.
7. He nearly goes through with his attempt to kill himself but realizes it wasn't what G-Dragon would do - who is a part of him. Instead, he tracks Sunni down, determined to change her mind about him and love.
8. Sunni talks to Sierra and realizes that she's afraid of being hurt and abandoned more than anything. Sierra points out that Sunni's done both to Jiyong by going back home instead of staying. Sunni finally realizes that she has just as much power to hurt others in a relationship as they have to hurt her.
9. Aaliyah explains why she got married and admits to initially having commitment issues. Sunni realizes Ji's meant for her and loves her.
10. Sierra springs a vacation on Sunni to help her cheer up. They hang out, do spa day, go carts - anything to take Sunni's mind off of Ji. But with Big Bang performing in concert that night, she's constantly reminded of him. Sierra "mysteriously" gets tickets to their concert, forcing her to endure seeing Ji again for her best friend's sake.
11. They go to a club afterwards, intending to party, drink, and flirt but Sunni isn't feeling it. Being without Ji really hurts and sucks. Big Bang shows up (much to Sunni's dismay) and Ji spots her, but Sunni runs out once Sierra starts talking to TOP. She doesn't understand why she's running away, but can't help it - facing Ji knowing that they love each other scares the ever loving shit out of her.
12. She gets back to their room and Ji calls her. He tells her he wants to see her then suddenly shows up.
13. Ji wakes up with Sunni there and traps her there, allowing her to confess her true feelings and desires for the first time. He admits that he nearly killed himself and tells Sunni she was right all along - he needs help and had been using her as a life saver to keep his head above water. He asks her to go to South Korea with him to meet his family and see his hometown.
14. Ji's first visit with a psychiatrist.
15. Ji's fans support him even after revealing his relationship with Sunni.
16. Sierra wakes up next to TOP. "Well, shit."
