Protagonist:- Mei Tachibana

Antagonist:Setting: Winter 2020, Fictional City (Dallas/Seoul) Conflicts:- Man vs Man - Ji vs Seung, Mei vs Kiko
- Man vs Self - Mei vs being honest, Seung vs opening up
- Man vs World - Polyamorous relationships vs tradition
How conflict starts:
- Jiyong and Seunghyun both spot Mei at the same time and try to lay claim to her but she refuses them both.
- Kiko learns Jiyong's interested in someone new, which she takes to mean that he's over what she did and is willing to date again.
- Mei's transplant starts to fail and she chooses not to tell her family about it.
- Seunghyun's been hurt before in a relationship and thinks he should keep his feelings to himself to keep from scaring Mei off. (Is it too soon?)
- Monogamous relationships are preferred and are approved by society while polyamorous relationships are looked down on. They will have trouble getting people to accept their definition of love and will face the touch decision of hiding it or enduring the criticism.
How conflict resolves:- They set aside their pride and follow their hearts, instead agreeing it's better to have part of her than none of her at all. They decide to share her and convince her it's okay to love and have them both.
- Jealousy gets the best of Mei, who kisses Jiyong in front of Kiko and tells him later that seeing him with Kiko makes her heart hurt -- she doesn't want to lose him. He cuts Kiko out of his life entirely.
- Her father learns about her relationship and makes her choose between her health insurance and the guys. Though she picks her insurance (her life) initially, Seunghyun learns why she broke up with them and puts her on his policy and gets her a tissue engineered heart worth one million dollars.
- Though he slowly grows distant, Jiyong gives him a wake up call by telling him if he won't act like he loves Mei, Jiyong will propose to her. Afraid of being dumped again, he sets up a romantic evening and tells Mei how he truly feels about her, sealing it with their first time together.
- All three of them have reasons to keep their relationship a secret (her father, Seung's business reputation, and Ji's stalker fan club) that would ultimately end with public ridicule and being ostracized. Their worst fears are each realized (her father disowns her, companies separate from his, and Ji's fans get violent/aggressive) but they stand their ground and endure the storm together. Eventually they gain supporters as others find the courage to step out into the open. By New Year's their lives together settles down and they start to enjoy their relationship in earnest.
Briefly describe the climax:* Shu gives Mei the choice of staying with the guys and losing her health insurance needed to maintain her heart condition, or going home and never speaking to the guys again. * Seunghyun loses business partners and employees, his stock drops, and he learns Mei quit her job and move out of the penthouse. (Believes there's no reason she'd leave if she didn't want to.) * Jiyong is nearly killed by a fangirl who shoots him and is hospitalized for nearly a week.
